Welcome!! Ok, so I figured the best way to do this movie club was to start a forum. This way everyone can post on the movies here. Everyones feedback will be in the same place and our inboxes will not get filled with respones (cause I know some who don't clean out their email often.....Gloria!!) Once everyone gives a yes or no vote on being part I randomly draw an order for the movie choices and we will be good to go!. This is an amendment to the movie club. In order for this idea to be successful we need to actually review the films. I know all of our lives are busy and situations may occur that may make this seem inconsequential, but if we want to be involved we need to have dialog about the films. Even the bad ones. (what was bad, why it was bad, possible ideas for making it better). While a group of us were watching a movie last night we all seemed to agree that in order to have a spot on the rotation to choose a movie you need to watch and post on the movies chosen by other participants. So we are going to need to set expectations that everyone write a review (four or five sentences are fine) of 80% of the filma (with 10 participants that means 8/10 movies) in order to be able to pick when it is your turn. If the 80% mark is not met than you will be passed over that round and given a chance when it is your turn the next round provided you are maintaining the requirements. As dumb as this sounds this is a movie club. Everyone gets a chance to pick and we can't just decide which one of the choices we want to watch and review. We all must participate for it to be a success. |

Film Choice Order So to mix things up a bit with the third round I have randomly drawn a new order. We will keep this lineup for rounds three and four then reorder on five. I have split the reordering by activity, meaning those who are more active were randomly drawn at the beginning and those that are less active grouped and reordered at the end. Again please post your choice in the following way so we are sure to all watch the right version: Film, Year released, Actor, Actor And the order is...... 1. Greg 2. Carl 3. Gloria 4. Clark 5. Cerra 6. Al 7. Cari 8. Claudia 9. Nate 10. Ekcert (new guy) 11. Tom (if still in) Then repeat. From the emails it seemed that two weeks would be best, although there were only two votes on the message board, so we will go with that. |
